Just a few FAQ’s that new parents often ask:

1. How do I know if things change during the week?

We send out a lot of our newsletters, notes and changes by e-mail. We will also have a hard copy at the meetings. You may also check the website as it is updated frequently. www.lynnwood116.com If it is something important that we need you to know right away we will call you.

2. Who do I call if I am lost on the way to a meeting or I need information about an activity?

Deanna is your main contact person but you may call any of the other leaders as well. Deanna’s home number is 780-481-7100 and her cell phone number is 780-909-9489. Broderick’s cell phone number is 780-966-8649. They both have their phones on anytime we have a meeting.

3. What are all the badges for?

Your child will receive a bag of badges on their investiture day. These go on their shirts as directed. He/she will also receive a lodge badge along the way. These go on the right hand pocket of their vests. It really helps if these are put on right away as we do many activities according to lodge groups and the kids often don’t remember who they are. They will also receive tails which are put on the back of their hats. Brown for 5 year olds, Blue for 6 year olds and White for 7 year olds. Any other badges are for their campfire blankets. We will have the diagram for where they are to go on the website shortly if you are confused.

4. A quick note on paperwork.

We need all parents to sign their child in and out every day. There is a sign in-out sheet on the table at the front every week. If you are not at the number’s we have on file during the meeting please inform us of the alternate number in case of an emergency.

5. What is involved in selling popcorn?

It is simple, just take the order form with you to thanksgiving dinner, your parents work, or to your neighbors. The money needs to be submitted with the order form so we don’t have people stuck with popcorn that the purchasers decided they did not want later. Please make a copy of your order form before you turn it in as we turn them in and don’t get them back until the popcorn comes in. More information will come at a later date. It is required that you sell $100 per family. The popcorn will be in around the second week of December. For every 25 orders the kids get entered in a draw for great prizes at scout hall. As well the kids will get scout bucks according to how much they sell to be spent at scout hall.
